As part of the Halloween celebrations for the launch of Mortis Comoedia, I have no less than TEN copies of the fabulous DYLAN DOG to give away!! I was lucky enough to be invited to create a piece for inclusion in an issue of this horror-filled Swedish comic and am delighted that the good folks in charge are supporting me in my own book launch.
Dylan Dog is one of the world’s most popular horror comics. Originally created in Italy in 1986, it has sold millions and millions of copies since then. A handful of episodes were published in the US by Dark Horse Comics, but that’s all that can be found of DD in English so far. Despite the fact that Dylan Dog himself is an Englishman and his office is located in London!
A critically panned movie adaptation starring Brandon Routh was released a few years ago, but Dylan was portrayed as an American and the setting changed to New Orleans!
Ades Media is the publisher of Dylan Dog in Sweden, and in addition to the Italian source material each release features content especially made for the Swedish version. Aurora contributed a painting when the critically acclaimed Dylan Dog episode Mater Morbi was published in Sweden. This painting appeared both in the 140-page Mater Morbi graphic novel, but also in a 16-page preview booklet.
10 copies of the preview booklet have been donated by Ades Media.
Note that the language of the booklet is Swedish, so this makes most sense to people who can read Swedish.
